Meat Ball

In Easy Recipes for kids today we are going to see one of their favorite dish the Meat Balls.A simple and tasty snack loved by all the kids as a lunch box meal with simply mixed in macaroni or even as a sandwich with bread.Try it out.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Finely chopped onions of -2
  • Chilli powder-1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Minced lamb-400 gm
  • Green chillies-3
  • Ginger finely chopped-1tsp
  • Boiled peas or potatoes-3 tblsp
  • Crushed garlic-1 tsp
  • Chopped coriander-3 tblsp
  • Gram flour-1 tblsp
  • Garam Masala-1/2 tsp
  • Cumin Powder- 1/4 tsp
  • Sounf Powder(Fennel) – 1/4 tsp

PREPARATION:

  1. Mince the lamb meat with green chillies.
  2. Mix in all the ingredients chilli powder,salt flour,very finely chopped onions,ginger,garlic,potatoes and peas are optional,finally chopped coriander leaves,and all the powders,Garam Masala is a powdered mixture of equal amounts of cinnamon,cardamom both black and green,coriander seeds,cloves,curry patta leaves half the quantity.
  3. You can also add raw papaya paste in case of meat kheema as it will tenderize the meat to get well cooked.An egg yolk is also optional to give a fluffiness to the meat ball mixture,for a nice golden brown.
  4. Mix well and make shapes of a ball flatten it slightly,so that it cooks well .
    Heat oil in a pan deep fry the meat balls in medium flame .High flame will burn the meat outside without cooking inside.
  5. Take the meat balls out in a paper towel when golden brown.
    Serve with any salad,along with any main dish .
  6. Similarly prepare small popcorn sized balls and mix with Spicy Spaghetti.(click for recipe)
  7. Another variation of this recipe is that you can even make different shapes using cutter of any size and fry in a hard bottomed pan carefully.Kids loves those when made in their favorite shapes.

CHRISTMAS IS CELEBRATED ON THE OCCASION OF THE BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST, ON DECEMBER 25. THIS FESTIVAL HAS MANY ASPECTS LIKE SHARING GIFTS, SANTA CLAUS, DECORATION, RELIGIOUS CEREMONIES, DISPLAYING X-MAS TREES,STARS,BELLS,ETC……

INGREDIENTS:

  • All purpose flour-2 1/4 cup                         christmas-Chocolate-Cookie
  • Salt-1tsp
  • Baking powder-1 tsp
  • Vanilla powder-1 tsp
  • Egg-2
  • Chocolate chips-2 cup
  • Coconut flakes-2 cup
  • Butter-1 cup
  • White sugar-1 cup
  • Brown sugar-1/2 cup
  • Chopped almonds – 4 tbls

PREPARATION:

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 190 degree.
  2. Take a bowl add the melted butter and sugar. Beat until fluffy along with the egg.
  3. Add one by one, salt, vanilla powder, flour, baking powder and stir to a creamed mixture.
  4. Now add the chocolate chips,coconut flakes, (JUST TO GIVE A TRADITIONAL INDIAN TOUCH) chopped almonds and blend it together.
  5. Take a spoonful of this mixture and place it in a cookie sheets(baking sheet), and place in the oven for8 to 10 minutes.
  6. Let it cool in the sheet for5 min, before removing..
  7. This delicious cookie  with creamy chocolate drops, is simply cool and yummy……..its sure a divine delight for all chocolate lovers….

Chocolate Brownies

This special Christmas dish is named after its brown color and one of Americas famous recipe....


INGREDIENTS:

  • All purpose flour-1 cupx-mas-brownies-chocolate
  • Vanilla powder-1 1/2 tsp
  • Egg-3
  • Sugar-2 cups
  • Chopped walnut-1 cup
  • Butter-3/4 cup
  • Unsweetened baking chocolate-4 bar(available in all super market)
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips-250 gms

PREPARATION:

  1. Pre heat the oven to 177 degree .
  2. Melt the chocolate bar and butter in a saucepan,with low flame . Till it gets melted to a fine paste.keep aside to cool.
  3. Take a bowl, mix the chocolate paste and sugar, blend it well. Add egg, vanilla, flour, nuts and blend it to a smooth paste.
  4. Now add the chocolate chips, stir once. Pour this in a greased rectangular baking tin.
  5. And place it in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes
  6. Remove and cool. Cut it into squares.
  7. This chocolate brownie, with rich chocolate is a famous recipe  especially in Christmas eve.

BASBOUSA-SEMOLINA CAKE

ARABIAN BASBOUSA SEMOLINA CAKE 

This basbousa Semolina cake special dish in Ramadan if-tar time. This is very simple to cook.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Melted butter-200 gm  semolina cake1
  • Condensed milk-1 tin
  • Baking powder-1 1/2 tbls
  • Semolina(rava)-2 cups
  • Ground almonds-1 cup
  • Water- 1cup

Syrup:

  • Sugar-2 cups
  • Water- 1 1/2 cup
  • Lemon juice-1 tbls
  • Rosewater- 1 tbls
  • Almonds crushed-1 tbls

PREPARATION:

  1. Mix butter,Condensed milk,Baking powder well to a smooth paste.Add water,semolina and almonds and stir well till all gets combined well.
  2. Pour the mixture in a baking tin. Bake in 190°c preheated oven for 35 minutes,or until its golden in top.
  3. Remove and pour the syrup all over. Refrigerate to cool it completely. Cut into diamond shapes and serve as snack.

Preparation Of  Syrup

  1. Boil sugar and water in a pan. Simmer for 10 min. Remove and mix lemon juice, almonds and rose water.
  2. This Arabic sweet basbousa or the semolina cake should be loose and soft in texture unless like cakes. Decorate on top with almonds and pistas, and enjoy this delightful dessert.
